Orlando Science Center: Sara and Scott’s Gorgeous Green Wedding

08.28.13

When it came to designing the concept for Sara and Scott’s April 1st wedding, there were two things they wanted: a little bit of whimsy and a lot of green.  Both the bride and groom love the color green.  The bride’s engagement ring even includes two beautiful emerald stones!  So for her wedding day, Sara found adorable green sequenced shoes to wear with her dress and accented her look with a pretty green beaded necklace.  And Scott didn’t want to look like every other groom either, so he had dark green suits custom made for himself and his best man.
Sara’s bouquet was so beautiful.  Made by Flowers By Lesley, it was composed of green and white parrot tulips, white scabious and scabious pods, succulents, green hydrangea, seeded eucalyptus and hanging amaranthus.
For their ceremony, Scott had always pictured something outdoors, in a natural setting, under a large tree and the Sculpture Garden in Loch Haven Park outside of the Mennello Museum provided just that. Lanterns and swirls of white rose petals lined the ceremony aisle as the wedding party entered to music played by harpist Christine MacPhail.  And for something unique, Sara came down the aisle to Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here.”

Sara and Scott’s cocktail hour and reception took place inside the Orlando Science Center.  While many couples choose to use OSC’s terrace that overlooks the city, Sara just couldn’t pass up the chance to dance, dine and celebrate in Dino Digs, where there are life-size skeletons of Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops, and other dinosaurs.
As guests entered the Dino Digs room they were greeted by at T-rex holding a card in his mouth welcoming them to the wedding.  Embellished escort cards by Embrace Calligraphy let guests know their assigned tables, which were named after various shades of green like hunter, olive, kelly and spring.
The reception tables, covered with emerald fortuny linens from Over The Top, were stunning.  Green uplighting from A-List DJ Entertainment accented the room and tall centerpieces with hydrangea, tulips, curly willow and hanging votives by Flowers By Lesley had an enchanting and natural feel.
The wedding cake, by It’s Tasty Too, sat on a wood cake stand and was topped with a Mr. and Mrs. Dino cake topper Sara had custom made on Etsy.  Mrs. Dino even had a green and white bouquet like Sara did!
Sara and Scott entered the reception to “Walk The Dinosaur” by Was Not Was, setting the tone for the rest of the night.  The dance floor stayed packed, thanks to DJ Asher with A-List DJ Entertainment.  The entire day was captured by Wings of Glory Photography and, thanks to their excellent shooting skills, there’s proof of the best cake-cutting smash I’ve ever witnessed!
Sara and Scott’s wedding was so unique and so much fun to plan!  We love when a couple puts so much of their personality into every detail.  Thank you so much for allowing Anna Christine Events to be part of your day!

Romantic Photo Shoot at the Garden Chateau

04.15.13

This photo shoot was a dream to design and so much fun to work on. Everything looked beautiful and Wings of Glory Photography‘s pictures came out great! It was held at the stunning and new private estate/ event venue-  The Garden Chateau. We had a storybook backdrop to work with and the amazing team collaboration made this vision of beauty a reality.

The “couple” married under an arch of roses by Flowers By Lesley. To complete the vintage chic feeling, A Chair Affair used their picturesque church pews. Flowers By Lesley also provided the bride’s and bridesmaid’s stunning peony and rose bouquets. The bride’s Alfred Angelo dress photographed amazingly from every angle and the groom looked snappy in his tuxedo by Absolutely Fitting.  The wedding party’s hair and make-up, done by Kristy’s On-Location Makeup Artistry & Hair Design, looked timeless and romantic.

Indoor and outdoor reception areas were set-up and both were equally beautiful. The indoor reception looked like something from a period film, with ivory linens paired with A Chair Affair‘s mahogany brown chiavari chairs,  Flowers By Lesley‘s white and pink centerpieces, and Weddings By 2 + Hue‘s accent pieces.

Flowers By Lesley did a remarkable job with all the centerpieces. The vintage candelabras filled with a variety of florals and candle accents really took our breath away.  A Chair Affair‘s farm tables paired with their signature chiavari chairs provided a unique foundation and seating option to the outdoor setting. Weddings By 2 + Hue‘s gold ornate picture frames acted as a perfect accent to Dogwood Blossom Stationary‘s gold with rose accents menus and invites.

The attention to detail on RW Chocolate Fountains‘ cake pops and cupcakes made them really stand out. The flowers on them were actually real, edible flowers dusted with sugar!  Not only were they stunning to look at, they tasted amazing as well!

Iva’s Cake Place‘s towering ivory and rose cake looked fit for a queen and the individual hor d’oeuvres made by Bjoely Events Services were delicious.

This photo shoot turned out better than we ever could have hoped and everyone involved was just so talented! These extraordinary event professionals included:

Mission Resort Inn Bold & Bright Bridal Photo-Shoot

04.03.13

It’s always so much fun to organize a bridal themed photo-shoot! This one at Mission Inn Resort & Club Weddings spearheaded by Dogwood Blossom Stationary, coordinated by yours truly, here at Anna Christine Events is one of our favorites. It was photographed magnificently by Wings of Glory Photography and also featured on the Every Last Detail blog.

The green and purple color scheme looked amazing on Hitched Event Rentals‘ white chairs and clear chiavari chairs. Flowers By Lesley white rose and purple flower arrangement brought a touch of nature to the modern-styled shoot.

Dogwood Blossom Stationery & Invitation Studio, LLC provided the menus and purple and green patterned seating cards.

The star of the show was Wendy Woo Cakes‘ giant white cake accented in purple.

Check out this amazing video from Key Moment Films!
