“You are beyond amazing and were made to be a wedding coordinator!”
Those are the words I woke up to from this weekend’s bride. Honestly my eyes got a little watery and heart swelled with pride. Then Linked In notified me today was my 11 year anniversary with Anna Christine Events, and I felt compelled to write this.
Eleven years ago I sat down at my computer and decided I wanted to “start my own business.” I didn’t know entirely what that meant, but coming from the corporate planning world I knew I loved events, planning, details, and making other people happy. I knew that I could provide something of value to others and that the only way I would truly fail is if I didn’t try. So I took a deep breath and started making a path for Anna Christine Events.
The first couple of years were small. Testing the waters, making a few industry connections and friends, and a couple of weddings here and there.
By 2010 I realized I needed put myself out there more. I was added to a package at a venue, started networking more, had a logo and website made, and worked on creating a brand. That helped us gain a little traction and growth!
In 2013 Laura joined me and I could feel a shift. I knew I had the support I needed to really move forward. I had had amazing help from friends and colleagues prior, but no one can compare to the love and support of my sister. So we buckled down, made a plan and at the end of that year we rebranded to the Anna Christine Events many know today.
Now here we are in 2019. We’ve had (and continue to have) INCREDIBLE clients. We have friendships and relationships with vendors and venues I could have only dreamed of. We are so very thankful for EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU! Thank you for supporting us. Thank you for TRUSTING us. Thank you for helping us make Anna Christine Events what it is and what it will become! I couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come!
